When you adopt a satellite-tagged animal, you can track their movements through the website seaturtle.org. This non-profit organization and its partners have fitted almost 500 animals from more than 100 projects around the world with high-tech data transmitters that will relay information about their location via satellite. Tracking their movements helps researchers to better understand the migratory paths and foraging behavior. This knowledge helps to improve existing laws and regulations to protect sea turtles, and other species of conservation concern, while minimizing the potential burden of those restrictions.
Holiday adoption packages range from $25 to $100, include a personalized adoption certificate, and are tax deductible. To ensure delivery by Christmas, submit orders by Saturday, 15th December for US deliveries. US. seaturtle.org is a tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the US Internal Revenue Service Code and all adoptions are deductible to the full extent allowed by law.
