Anegada Lobster Festival – calling all Foodies!
The Anegada Lobster festival will take place Saturday, November 24 and Sunday, November 25. If you are fortunate enough to be on charter during the Thanksgiving holiday, you’ll even have a day to recover from your turkey dinner before the feast begins!
The British Virgin Islands Tourist Board, together with the population of Anegada, will feature talented local chefs who will be on hand to prepare, cook, and serve plated sample lobster dishes at participating Anegada restaurants. These annual festivities will once again be a savory attraction to foodies and lobster lovers from all over the world.
Anegada Lobster Festival is designed as a scavenger hunt.
Everyone is encouraged to visit all the participating restaurants around the island. Sample the spiny lobster flavors and decadent dishes at each. In between your gourmet adventure, include activities and points of interest. Divers can examine numerous wrecks claimed by Horse Shoe Reef, the fourth largest barrier reef in the world. Pink flamingos call the salt ponds at the island’s western end home. Other rare or endangered animals include the Anegada rock iguana and several species of turtles. Snorkeling and beach combing are favorite activities.
Once again, the celebration promises residents and visitors alike entertainment, fun and truly exceptional dining. Chart a course to attend one of the BVI’s most anticipated annual events.
There’s one more reason to add the Anegada Lobster Festival to your itinerary. Not only will you eat, drink, be merry and have an unforgettable culinary experience, you will contribute to the island’s economic recovery.
