Chef: Christopher Medina

Chris knew he wanted to be a chef at an early age and began training for his future in high school, where he took credit classes related to food preparation and participated in the culinary clubs that his school offered. He was classically-trained at the Le Cordon Bleu San Francisco California Culinary Academy where he obtained an Associate's Degree with Honors. He has worked for a number of upscale restaurants, including some with Michelin Star Ratings, including France, Le Cote St. Jacques. Chris has a Puerto Rican and Spanish background and has traveled to Miami, France, and Hong Kong to gain exposure to different cooking techniques.

With his "never give up" mentality, Chris has been recognized numerous times for his cooking abilities and has had great opportunities for furthering his career in the culinary arts. For instance, Chris was selected to participate in a food competition while attending a culinary arts workshop sponsored by the East Valley Institute of Technology. He was also granted a scholarship out of high school to pursue his interests in cooking. He has his food handler's card, knows CPR, and has passed his clearance for fingerprint, state, and background checks.

Through his website, www.ccmculinaire.com, Chris has offered cooking classes to others, helping others to develop a passion for cooking. He had the privilege of offering a demonstration - accompanied by one of his students, who is ten years old - at the Seattle French Festival where he cooked Beet Blini with Seared Salmon and Dill Cream. Chris also cooked a three-course buffet dinner at the local Ronald McDonald House in 2015. He has been on Motor Yacht GO since January 2016 and has brought a new level of food service and creativity to every charter.

Mate: Mike Lemay

Mike Lemay was born in Waterbury, CT and spent his childhood riding bikes, playing with friends, and on the water. He was captain of his school's robotics team and won a handful of bowling tournaments during high school. While winters were spent inland, his summers were spent out on the water. Mike got his first boating license at 13 and fell in love to the point of saving up and buying his first boat - a 12-foot StarCraft aluminum boat - at the age of 14. Since then, he has owned a modified Sea-Doo jet ski and a 23-foot Mako center-console boat and has pursued a career in yachting "after hearing the cliché saying 'do what you love' about a hundred times throughout college," he says.

Mike, who has a STCW certification from maritime Professional Training as well as a bachelor's degree in education and learning from the University of Connecticut, has worked aboard a fractional ownership yacht and was a senior deckhand aboard a tour boat on the Connecticut River prior to being called to the yacht charter industry. He looks forward to getting his 100-ton USCG Master's License and hopes to be the master aboard a yacht or remain in the yachting field through a management-level, land-based career.

Mike enjoys what he does and has spent most of his life on and in the water. He is a master of the jet ski and can teach beginners how to feel comfortable while handling a jet ski in the clear waters. Mike is outgoing and funny and enjoys telling guests about his experience with the pigs on Big Major as an owner practiced his pig call over the loudspeakers. In his spare time, he enjoys working on his truck, spending time with friends and simply being on the water.
