HOSTESS - JOCELYN DUBOIS

Nationality: Canadian

Languages: English, Basic French, Basic Spanish

Experience/Qualifications: Yachtmaster, Offshore commercially endorsed, STCW 78 (with 2010 Manila amendments), PADI open water diver, aquatic fitness instructor, royal lifesaving society - instructor/examiner.

Jocelyn grew up in the Canadian prairies, but that did not stop her from finding water. From a young age, she taught swim programs and worked as a lifeguard. Jocelyn spent a lot of time baking and learning skills in the kitchen from her Grandmother. A curiosity and love of adventure took her around the world travelling and exploring other cultures, always taking an interest in new foods and culinary experiences. After completing studies in Travel and Tourism Management, Jocelyn sought out more adventure and discovered sailing. This lead to a trip to South Africa where Jocelyn earned a Yachtmaster Offshore certification and went on to work in a combination of roles as a hostess/chef, crew and skipper on various sailing yachts/charters in Australia, Africa, Europe, America, and the Caribbean. Jocelyn’s passions are to provide comfort and care for others by providing them with fresh, healthy (and sometimes indulgent!) meals while being part of an adventure!
