Crew Profile

CAPTAIN | William Noyes (USA)

Bill’s passion for the sea began at a young age. It all started growing up on the shores of New England sailing boats competitively and for pleasure. Bill has done everything from boat building and engineering to piloting airplanes. He has been a captain for years and has done roughly 40 round trips up the east coast on all different types of vessels as well as bringing boats through the Panama Canal to the Pacific where he has also spent time running boats. Bill is a fantastic Captain who is loved by the crew and strives to make sure every guest has the best possible experience while on board.

FIRST MATE | Alex Coomer (SA)

Alex is a lovely crew member who is a very professional, hard worker. While he takes his job very seriously, Alex is also fun loving and great with our guests. He was born and raised in South Africa but has traveled the world extensively aboard yachts and on his own time. He has true passion for travel so a career in yachting was a suitable choice for someone like Alex, a person who has devotion to their job, but also quite a bit of wanderlust. He loves water sports and used to wake board competitively so will be happy to teach whoever wants to learn! If there is an activity involving the ocean, Alex is the guy you want around as he is very patient and athletic.

DECKHAND | Timothy Fitzgerald (USA)

Tim is a great character with a plethora of stories from his many journeys. Although he was born in the U.S. and grew up in Newport, RI, Tim resides in Belize where he is building a house on a small farm for his twin sons. He is non-stop when it comes to work and is by far one of the most productive deckhands Invision has had. With 15 years in yachting, Tim began as a chef and has a culinary education, but after spending a few years in the galley- he began to yearn for some work on the deck which he immediately excelled at and has been doing it ever since!

STEWARDESS | Laura Storey (USA)

Laura is very passionate about living and working on the sea. She has grown up on the ocean, loves to surf, and is a talented fisher-woman. When she isn’t on the boat hard at work, Laura trains horses and teaches horseback riding. Besides being a yacht stewardess, Laura has experience in all aspects of boating from sailing to working as a deckhand on sport fishing boats out of Newport, RI where she is from. Laura is a gracious host and will make sure guests are happy and enjoying laughs, relaxation, good music, great food and a fun atmosphere! Whatever preferences you may have, she will go the extra mile to make sure all expectations are met and maintain a big smile while doing so.

STEWARDESS | Frankie Coombs (Anguilla)

Frankie is not only a fantastic stewardess, but she is simply a great joy to be around. She was born in England but has grown up in the Caribbean primarily residing in Anguilla. Although the Caribbean suffered a lot of destruction during the hurricanes, Frankie didn’t go anywhere and jumped into action assisting with the extensive relief efforts, from helping rebuild to making sure fellow islanders received food and water to survive. Frankie also has a passion for the sea and has worked on several impressive boats in the past 7 years or so. She and Laura are a fantastic team and do an impressive job keeping the boat looking top notch at all times!

ENGINEER | Michael Thew (USA)

M/Y Invision is lucky to have Mike as their engineer. He spent 4 years working in the Navy, stationed in San Diego and has loads of experience on multiple types of vessels. When he is not hard at work keeping our vessel afloat and fixing everything in a timely fashion, Mike enjoys getting creative with his 3-D printer and is always working to broaden his knowledge. He has a dive certification for the sea but also loves sky diving as well!
