Crew Profile

Captain Darrin Jackson is a third generation mariner. Born in St. Thomas and raised on a boat in the US and British Virgin Islands , Darrin took to the water at an early age. The family business of marine transportation, construction and salvage exposed him to the many aspects of professional life upon the seas. Eager to follow in his fathers footsteps he obtained his captains license at 19 and immediately began his career on the waters of the Caribbean ultimately captaining several vessels, including catamarans and a 75ft Schooner. Darrin's passion for sailing led him to begin racing in regattas, he also enjoys surfing, freediving, and spearfishing. He looks forward to showing you all the wonders of his "backyard"!

Chef Desire has been enchanted by the sea for as long as she can remember. Growing up on the West Coast of Washington State in a small town called Ocean Shores she remembers falling asleep to the sound of waves crashing outside her bedroom window and searching the shoreline with her sister for seashells and other treasures. Her passion for cooking paired with a love of gardening was inherited at a young age from her mother. She enjoys using local flavors and fresh ingredients, most of the herbs she uses she grows aboard! Her many years in the restaurant and hospitality industry have enabled her to become very knowledgeable in many styles of cuisine and aesthetic presentation. Intrigued by the beauty of the Caribbean she moved to St. Thomas in 2014 where she met Darrin who introduced her to the world of sailing and life on the water. A people pleaser by nature she has a knack for anticipating her guests needs and wants and is always willing to go above and beyond to ensure an unforgettable experience. Her hobbies include gardening, fine wine, dance/gymnastics and laughing at the captain's bad jokes.
