All areas are finished in highly detailed raised and fielded wood paneling and finished limed oak. Completely renovated in 2016 with all new fixtures, fittings and soft furnishings, including new mattresses, bedding, towels, blinds, carpets, etc giving a modern, beautiful, light feel throughout the yacht.

OWNER Nero boasts a massive Owners suite with separate private sitting room and dining saloon, Stateroom, with 2 ensuite bath and shower rooms plus dressing room. Private stairs to an observation lounge and cinema, office and guest W.C.

The yacht has a very capable compressor, 6 bottles and 2 sets of gear. They can be fully self supporting except to lead dives, quite easily. There are competent divers on board who can manage and rig gear for guests. They can be fully self supporting except to lead dives, The local dive master would merely have to show up and lead the dives.

Approved RYA Watersports Centre - NERO is a registered Jet ski school with an on-board instructor who can provide a training session in order to issue charter guests with a licence, valid for the duration of the charter.

Nicknamed Zulu Adrian hails from the kingdom of Zulu tribesmen, on the east coast of South Africa. Born and raised in the African bush, Adrian is sure to lighten up any conversation with tales of his colourful and untamed life growing up. From game capture to hunting for his next meal and fishing in the open water, he can tell a good sea story or two as he claims to have seen a few sea monsters along the way. Maybe hes just been at sea too long? Yes, Nero has its very own Steve Irwin on board! Out of the wild and into the deep blue.
Adrian has since spent 15 years in the yachting industry making his way up the ranks and has commanded vessels, both charter and private, from 40 to 65 meters in length. Adrian completed a fantastic 2015 season on board the 50m M/Y Nassima, where the client feedback was amazing. Prior to that he spent two years on board M/Y Mi Sueno, another successful charter yacht, completing both Mediterranean and Caribbean seasons.
When hes not busy on board Adrian can be found on the golf course, relaxing, or catching up on global affairs whilst listening to country music.
Adrian loves a challenge and working under pressure. He is without doubt a fantastic, hands-on Captain with a great emphasis on crew dynamics and a happy and safe work environment, making for a greater guest experience.
Adrian will ensure that your experience on board Nero will be a truly memorable one.

David was born in Auckland and is the oldest of 6 children. He started sailing as a teenager with the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron Youth Training Programme and studied Law at the University of Auckland. David practiced as a commercial lawyer for 4 years before returning to University to study for a Master of Commerce degree. In 2002 he discovered the yachting industry in the South of France and decided to pursue a career in yachting.
He started as a Deckhand on M/Y Va Bene. He moved to M/Y Lady Ann Magee as Chief Mate in 2007.
After qualifying as a Yacht Captain, he joined M/Y Meamina in 2010 as Chief Officer/ Relief Captain before joining M/Y Nero. David has 13 years experience on charter yachts and he Captained M/Y Meamina on charter in the Mediterranean, Caribbean, and Maldives, as well as for an Atlantic crossing and two crossings with armed security in naval convoys from the Suez Canal to the Indian Ocean.
Prior to yachting, he competed in Iron man triathlons and occasionally played golf. David now enjoys following football, cycling, and Formula 1.

Growing up on the south east coast of Australia Adam was involved in a lot of water sports from a very young age as a result of holidays spent aboard family owned sailing and cruising boats. Waterskiing, wakeboarding and jet skiing were huge hobbies for Adam growing up, as well as surfing and swimming.
Whilst attending high school Adam worked part time on small sailing and motor yachts as well as game fishing boats. Ten years ago, shortly after finishing high school Adam obtained his first full-time position on board a yacht cruising the pacific, and since then he has enjoyed yachting and all aspects of living and working on the sea.

Mathieu studied at the prestigious French Culinary School of Jean Ferrandi in Paris for 3 years, elected as the best culinary school in Europe from 1993 to 2002. Mathieu took his first Head Chef position at the age of 19, managing a team of 10 in London at the gourmet restaurant Corney & Barrow, where he was the youngest Head chef among the 18 company restaurants and elected Best Chef of the Year 2001.
Mathieu joined the yachting industry in 2006 and has worked on various yachts including M/Y April Fool, M/Y Lone Ranger, and most recently the 70m M/Y Archimedes, where he worked as Head Chef for over 4 years.
Mathieu is a keen writer regarding nutrition, health, phyto-synergy, macro-nutrients & fitness, also setting up a successful raw and vegan food company VEGALIA JUICE which was sold to the biggest juice company in France; Detox delight.
Mathieu has spent many years travelling in Asia, where he also became Buddhist.

Jillian hails from the tropical island of Trinidad, best known for its cosmopolitan culture and festive carnival. She holds a Masters of Science degree in Clinical Psychology and worked in the therapeutic field for three years. Making the bold career change to yachting has allowed her to pursue her passion for travel and adventure.
Jillian joins M/Y Nero as Purser after gaining considerable experience in the industry, previously she was Head of Housekeeping on-board the 77m motor yacht SAMAR and the 90m motor yacht LAUREN L.
Jillian is very warm and enthusiastic and aims to make each guest experience a most enjoyable and memorable one.
Hobbies include: reading, pilates, meditation, swimming and sailing.

Claire hails from London, England. Her love of travel started at a young age travelling to and from her fathers native Australia. She began sailing recreationally as a child on the Solent and continued at University with friends.
Claire began working in hospitality as a teenager for a small catering company in London, then progressing to a silver service agency working in hotels, castles and palaces. In 2010 after finishing her studies, Claire found out about the yachting industry and has never looked back. She loves the opportunity that yachting gives her to visit so many exotic locations and impart her knowledge to guests.
Prior to working in the yachting industry, Claire was also a private Nanny for over 5 years in the UK, Sweden and Switzerland. Claire has been employed as a second stewardess on M/Y Sapphire (73m), M/Y Harle (45m), and M/Y Perfect Persuasion (45m), now climbing up the ladder to the position of Chief Stewardess on M/Y Nero. During any down time, Claire enjoys going to the theatre, hiking, diving, cooking, cycling, knitting and cross stitching.

Elizabeth grew up on a farm on the East Coast of Australia. After finishing school she worked as a dance teacher and in the fashion industry before embarking on a journey to travel and begin a career and a life on the sea. Elizabeth has been working on-board Motor Yachts for the past 6 years and has a great interest and experience in cocktail making and wine. In her spare time she enjoys yoga, diving, sailing, surfing and Winter sports.
Elizabeth has a keen eye for detail and will go the extra mile to make your stay on Nero a comfortable and enjoyable one.

Alexandra was born in Cape Town and is a qualified Somatologist. She takes great pride in her work and loves to make people happy and relaxed.
Before studying Alexandras desire was to work on cruise ships and travel the world, she is passionate about giving great service and making sure that she does her best in everything.
Directly after finishing her studies, she pursued her career on cruise ships and worked as a Beauty Therapist at the on board spas. Alexandras wish was to go back home to take up a new position at the One & Only Spa where she became Head Therapist.
After a few years, Alexandra searched for a new challenge and was asked to manage a 5 star guesthouse which she took on with great enthusiasm and creativity.
Alexandra loves to be in nature and is passionate about animals. She also enjoys great food and loves to do ballet and is very interested in the arts, culture and beautiful things.

New Zealand born Amy has joined M/Y Nero for her second year of yachting. She first developed a taste for travelling when she studied in Canada for six months, finalising her International Business and Management Degree. After graduating, Amy worked in the banking sector; however her keen interest in travel saw a natural progression into the yachting industry. Amy prides herself in ensuring guest service surpasses all expectations, and she can always be seen with a smile on her face. In her spare time, Amy thoroughly enjoys participating in water skiing, snow skiing and discovering new music. Amy is very excited to join M/Y Nero for the upcoming Caribbean season.
Prior to joining NERO Amy has worked on M/Y ELANDESS (60m), M/Y ELYSIAN (60m) and smaller motor yachts in New Zealand.
When not busy on board Amy enjoys kayaking, rowing, swimming travel and photography.

Christie joined the yachting industry in 2012, after a number of years working in the hospitality industry as a waitress and bar tender. Christies previous yachts include M/Y Force India (50m), M/Y Apogee(63m) and M/Y Redemption (40m), working aboard in the role of stewardess. Christie has also completed a course in music venue management as well as setting up her own online clothing line.
Christies main interests are music, water sports (especially surfing), cooking and art and she loves learning to play the guitar and hunting for new artists to listen to.

Chandr grew up in various parts of South Africa. Never staying in the same place for a significant amount of time ignited her love of adventure, travel and meeting new, interesting people along the way. This search of adventure is what led her to pursue a career in yachting.
Chandr has 11 years of experience in the hospitality industry and 4 years working aboard yachts in various roles in the interior and on deck. She has also worked as an online English teacher, managed events and small offices. Her sunny disposition and get-it-done attitude together with loving what she does truly means that you will be well taken care of whilst on board. When not attending to her duties on board.
When she has any downtime Chandr enjoys hiking, volleyball, traveling, all water activities, photography and fire poi dancing.

At the age of 17, Roger started a computer science course, then he gained the Associates Degree in radio communications, however the culinary arts was something he wanted to do for his career.
Roger completed a Culinary Arts Course a few years later in his hometown. In 1997 he started working at various five stars hotels and restaurants in Cebu and continued for 8 years preparing international cuisine. In 2004 he joined the luxurious Norwegian Cruise Liner for another 6 years cooking for people from all over the world. Roger joined the yachting industry in 2010 on a 75m Sailing Yacht Phocea and he discovered his passion for private dining.
He was on M/Y Maridome for a season, before joining M/Y NERO in 2013. He enjoys cooking for the NERO crew during winter time and assisting the Head Chef during the season.

Fernando is one of NEROs longest standing crew members.. He has a class 1 Marine Engineering degree. After his studies he became an engineering cadet on board commercial cargo ships. He stayed on cargo ships for 9 years progressing to a Motorman and then to a Port Engineer. He then worked as a Third Engineer on board large commercial cruise liners, a part of the V-Ships fleet. He was then promoted to Second Engineer and in 2007 made the move into the super yachts industry.
He spent a year on board M/Y Lauren L as Second Engineer prior to joining M/Y NERO in 2007. He was a part of the NERO build team in China and in 2010 was promoted to the Chief Engineers position.
In his spare time Fernando likes to sing Karaoke, play basketball. He is also a keen fisherman.

Our Chief Engineer Felix has worked on board Nero for five years. He gained many years experience at sea, working as a 3rd engineer for Stena line in the Baltic Sea, on an Oil Rig in the North Sea and a cable laying vessel across the Atlantic. After gaining further sea time on livestock courier ships he decided to use his extensive marine engineering knowledge in the more luxurious industry of yachting! He loves the excitement and possibilities of meeting people from all walks of life.
His hobbies are reading books, cooking and playing basketball.

Cesar is from Davao City, Philippines. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering at Davao Merchant Marine Academy. He also completed an additional Diesel Mechanic course. Cesar started his maritime experience in 2001 as apprentice Engineer, and became a fully qualified Marine Engineer in 2003. Later he worked as a Motorman onboard commercial vessels cruising worldwide. In 2006 Cesar joined a commercial cape size bulk carrier vessel as 4th Engineer. After that he served on M/Y Montkaj for 4 years followed by M/Y Totally Nuts as Sole Engineer based in Bahamas before joining M/Y NERO.
In his free time, Cesar loves playing basketball and table tennis.

Raul is from Cebu in the Philippines. He has a degree in Electronics and prior to working on super yachts had spent 10 years as an Electrician on board commercial vessels cruising worldwide.
He was a member of an original M/Y NERO building team in China in 2006 and has been staying on board for 10 years now. He is the administrator of all the IT and communication systems on NERO.
In his spare time he enjoys Karaoke, water sports and Sky TV.

Growing up in South Africa next to the ocean gave Warren an affinity and fondness for all water sports, he can teach a novice adult, and children a variety of water sports and believes life on the water is a happy life!
Warren joined M/Y NERO for the 2016 Caribbean season. Prior to joining the yachting industry, Warren worked in construction, he can also turn his hand to plumbing and basic electrical work.
In his spare time Warren plays water polo and is a strong swimmer. He also spins fire and in the past has done this for high end functions and event companies (great for those beach BBQs).

South African born Calvin is fairly new to the yachting industry having completed 3 months on the 47m M/Y Yalla before joining the M/Y Nero. Calvin is a professional tennis coach and spent two years in schools and tennis clubs around Cape Town teaching children and adults, prior to that he was a tennis coach at a summer camp in the USA.
Calvin is also a qualified life guard and fitness is very important to him, he plays 5 aside football, doubles and singles tennis, and is a keen runner regularly running half marathons.

Shaun hails from the interior of South Africa, away from the coast, but still spent many weekends at dams and lakes, taking in all the water sports he could from a very young age. Prior to working on Nero, Shaun obtained a degree in architecture that he hopes to one day incorporate into the yachting scene. While studying, Shaun took up DJing and still likes to entertain crew with his impromptu DJ sets, thus ensuring that his passion for music follows him wherever he goes. Shaun's mission is to make your visit as fun and exciting as possible!

Although Storm grew up in Johannesburg most weekends and holidays were spent on a dam where he learnt how to wakeboard and water ski at a young age.
The Hallett family are keen boaters and fishermen having sailed extensively around Madagascar on a catamaran, where Storm discovered the vast underwater world of coral reefs and exotic fish.
Storm followed his brother into yachting in 2015 and has not looked back!

Born in Cebu City in the Philippines, Lyle obtained a degree in Electrical Technology. His first job was in a famous restaurant in the Philippines, called Jollibee, as a cook.
Before joining M/Y Nero he worked in a Keppel Shipyard in Cebu City as an electrician. In 2009 Lyle joined M/Y Nero as an assistant electrician and during the charter season he works as a deckhand on board. In his spare time Lyle likes playing basketball, listening to music, watching movies and loves cooking especially during the low season when he gets to show his culinary skills to the other crew members..
