Crew Profile

Captain Richard
Master 1600T-3000ITC Oceans

Greetings, I was born with the blood of English Mariners and Portuguese Navigators, in the largest fishing port on the US East Coast, once called the “Whaling Capital of the World”, where the legend “Moby Dick” begins, and the Seamen’s Bethel, with its prow shaped pulpit, sits across a cobblestone street from the Whaling Museum, atop Johnny Cake Hill. Home and heritage fueled my youthful imagination, and before long I was shipping out to sea.

My seagoing adventures began on the decks of commercial, long line swordfish boats, catching huge game fish on the Grand Banks and Flemish Cap, New England to Florida, the Gulf of Mexico, Caribbean Sea, and the Equatorial Atlantic between Brazil and Africa.

Seeking to expand my horizons, I attained a Captain License and began working aboard yachts, cruising the Pacific from Alaska to Australia, transiting the Panama Canal, exploring the Caribbean and Bahamas, and crossing the Atlantic to the Azores, Mediterranean Sea and Canary Islands.

My love for adventure and the sea, along with my affable nature, will help create memorable adventures for you!

Chef Rachel
I was born and raised in Dartmouth, on the South Coast of Massachusetts, and grew up sailing and fishing. At the age of 16, while still in school, I started working in a small family café, in an area known as “Little Portugal”. There, I developed my culinary skills, and my passion for cooking and creating.

My cuisine can be described as “comfort food meets the Caribbean”. I use fresh local produce, organic where possible, and can cater to any nutritional needs. I am always ready to help make your trip fun and comfortable, and am also known to be handy with a rod and reel!
