Yacht Description

Pentesilea II was built with two things in mind Luxury charter and performance. While most modern catamarans are plain white fiberglass inside and out, Pentesileas interior is finished in a beautiful Teak wood and varnished Cherry. One of the very few Catamarans of her size to offer four guest cabins, Pentesilea II has just about every modern comfort and convenience you will find in your home. Ensuite electric heads and showers, Air Conditioning, Bose stereo system, a large flat-screen television and cellular internet are only a few of her many features. Fast and sleek, she comfortably glides through the sea at up to 15 knots! Although the interior saloon and cabins are comfortable and beautiful, Pentesilea II adheres to the idea that sailing vacations are meant to be enjoyed outside and her deck plan shows it. The main dining table can comfortably seat 8 and stays dry in all weather. The large outdoor cockpit can easily accommodate 10 or more people and there are loads of places to lay back and relax. Two sun-mats on either side of the cockpit can take a couple each and the hammock-like bow trampolines can take the whole gang. The two bow seats offer a thrilling ride! Pentesileas dinghy, or Penny as she is referred to is a 15 ft. Caribe with a 50 HP engine. Penny is very large for Pentesileas size and will ensure that you get to shore fast and safe. Not to mention how much fun you will have when all the water toys come out! Pentesilea II - As a charter boat, she is tried and true and one thing is for certain: Her guests are always happy with their choice.

Crew Profile

Dan and Alli Shivone
Captain Dans passion for the water started at an early age along the coast of Delaware. He truly developed his skills after moving to Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina, where he learned to read the wind and the water for both surfing and sailing. He obtained his Captains license in North Carolina, and quickly began guiding on the water and sharing his love of nature and the sea.
Dan worked on Bald Head Island, North Carolina helping in the development of an outdoor adventure company. He obtained his US Sailing Association Certification and American Sailing Association Certification, and began instructing others on sailing. During which and since, he has owned several personal sailboats and Captained others, allowing him to learn and hone in his skill as a Captain.
Captain Dan currently holds a 100 gross-ton US Coast Guard Captains License and is a PADI-certified Dive Master.
Alli was born on the East Coast of New Jersey, where as a young girl she grew up with a passion for the ocean and adventure, passed on by her father. In High School, Alli participated in multiple Outward Bound wilderness classes, and from there the adventure never stopped! She attended the University of North Carolina Wilmington, during which time she began working for the same sailing and kayaking company where she met her husband, Captain Dan.
Alli has grown up with a passion for cooking food, that not only tastes good and looks good, but that is good for you. She began cooking at a young age, preparing meals for her family of six, and continues to create beautiful dishes with love and artistry using fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
As well as first mate and chef, Alli also holds her PADI Dive Master certification and is as comfortable in the water as she is in the galley!
Dan and Alli met in the Summer of 2009 on Bald Head Island, North Carolina, where they worked running kayak trips and sailing excursions. Together they managed the company for many years, never losing sight of their passion for travel. From the North Shore of Hawaii, to the coastlines of Costa Rica, the couple began their adventures together starting that summer. After sailing their personal sailboat, Goose, over 2,500 miles from North Carolina to the Bahamas and back, Dan as Captain, Alli as crew and chef, they discovered their love for the islands. ... They soon married knowing if they could survive that, nothing could stop them.
They moved to the Virgin Islands to pursue their love for the sea and sailing, where they began working for a popular watersports company. Dan captained a 50ft catamaran, running day charters around the BVIs and USVIs, and Alli managed the hotels land- and sea-based watersports activities, meanwhile obtaining her certifications to crew. They continued to get out on the water to snorkel, surf, dive, fish etc. whenever the opportunity allowed, gaining the local knowledge of the Virgin Islands. Whether searching for lobsters, searching for waves, or simply sailing, they always enjoy their time spent on the water.
One of their favorite quotes is, The Virgin Islands were meant to be viewed from the water. Pentesilea II has allowed them to share their love for the islands, the sea, and all the two have to offer, with all of her guests.
