Crew Profile

Salty Girl Catamaran Charter
Owner Operated & Sails with 2 US Coast Guard Captains, Ensuring Your Safety and Fun

Captain Tresa
Philip and I are excited to share our love of the Virgin Islands with you aboard Salty Girl. Life was not always spent on the sea, however. Organic farming in Upstate NY for 25 years shaped my preference for wholesome, simple food. Hearty, home cooked meals, reminiscent of the comfort food shared around the farm family table, and served under warm sea breezes, awaits you. Furthermore, I know how important family vacations and couples’ retreats are, as a 30 year career New York State public education teacher. Let Salty Girl lead you, and those you love, on the perfect escape. Our goal is for you to feel the boat as your private resort from which to reconnect and explore nature. Options include snorkeling, fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, floating, binocular spying on nature, or just soaking in the sun. However you choose to customize your day, know that your safety, as well as private time, will be foremost.

Captain Philip
Living on the sea is a dream many share. I am excited to have you think of Salty Girl as your home on the water and sail with us. My world was not always water based, as my youth was spent in the mid-west. However, a move to New York State, after military service and an undergraduate degree in Aeronautics, brought me closer to the Great Lakes and sailing on Lake Champlain. Tresa and I grew to believe a 4 month sailing season was just not enough. No matter what month you choose to visit the Virgin Islands, you will find pleasant weather and turquoise seas.

Although not unheard of, I hold 2 Licenses; earning not only a US Coast Guard Captains license, but also a Commercial Pilot’s, as well. Sailing and flying are similar. Passenger safety, comfort, and destinations are the focus. Interested in listening to music while swimming? You pick the tunes from our database or Bluetooth from your own playlist. If you would like to know more about boat systems on the ocean, just ask, as I will enjoy discussing them with you. We are proud of our autonomy away from shore.

No risks taken with choosing us as hosts for your very special Caribbean outing. We carry “Super Host” status with AirBnb, earned from hundreds of happy guests and their reviews.
